DB Research, LC is a business technology company specializing
in database driven solutions for small to medium business growth and
profitability. DB Research, LC provides consulting, research, and custom
software solutions to a variety of industries. We specialize in working
with the health and wellness industry. Part of what makes us so special
is David Black.
David Black, a retired school teacher, specializes in helping
small to medium sized businesses understand technology so they can receive a
better return on their current technology investments. As a retired school
teacher he has been able to bring language and skills to the average business
owner to help them become more profitable. By increasing the return on
the technology already invested businesses can stabilize their bottom
line putting technology to work now, not having to wait for the latest
and greatest which is usually faulty and not fully tested.
To answer that question I have to tell you some of my story.
You see, I am a retired school teacher. I taught public school for 12 years.
About that time I was diagnosed with an incureable disease. The doctors told
me to go home to go to bed. I had a large family to care for, what was I going
to do? Well, to make a long story short, I was flat in bed for over 9 months.
I never gave up though. That is when I started on my own path of self diagnosis
and healing. Since then I have been on a constant errand to heal my own body.
I work at home so I can work when I feel well. I can also rest when I need
to. These health products I recommend and sell have all helped me. They are
the ones that have consistently helped me. Other products have helped for awhile
then stopped.
The Miracle Foot Massager and the BBS Foot and Body Spa are the
latest items that have really made a difference. In fact they made such a difference
I decided to share them with other people. So that is why I sell them. The
other health products such as Dr. Howard's Balance of Nature, EnerGels, and
GoIonic all sell products I continue to use. They are also clients of mine.
I help them with their websites, business ventures, and marketing.

Dear Reader:
I CAN IDENTIFY WITH THIS "DRUG PROBLEM" you mentioned
in an earlier email.
My generation just might have been lucky. I had a drug problem
when I was young, but I turned out all right.
I was "drug" to church for weddings and funerals.
I was "drug" to family reunions no matter the weather.
I was "drug" to the bus stop to go to school every weekday.
I was "drug" by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults
and teachers.
I was also "drug" to the woodshed when I disobeyed my
parents.
Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior
in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine,
crack, or heroin, and if today's children had this kind of drug
problem, America might be a better place.
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert.
During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend
slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything,
wrote in the sand: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided
to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire
and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,
"After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write
on a stone, why?"
The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should
write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away.
But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it
in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS
IN STONE.
They say it takes! a minute to find a special person, an hour to
appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to
forget them.
" Feel the fear and do it anyway."
- Susan Jeffers
Asking for and receiving help is more challenging than we might
think. But when it involves the greater good, it often becomes easier
to stretch yourself and do something that might feel uncomfortable
without letting your fear or "smallness" get in the way.
Being afraid of what people might think about you is a good example
of smallness that will prevent you from honoring your higher vision.
Once you're clear about your vision- how your contribution and
work is linked to a greater good - it can become an anchor that
will keep you rooted in what matters most. Ultimately, it will let
you stretch beyond your smallness.
What do you need to overcome in order to bring your commitment
to a whole new level? Some of the following might be standing in
your way:
1. Your fear of the reactions of others.
2. Your fear of failure.
3. Your fear of too much responsibility.
4. Your inability to ask for help.
5. Your inability to receive help.
6. Your fear of rejection.
7. Your fear of being judged or criticized.
8. Your fear of disappointment.
This is Rex Barker C.S. (Committed to Success) reminding you that
great things are never done alone. Whether your vision is to be
the best parent in the world or help heal the planet in some way,
you will never do anything of greatness by yourself. So, start stretching
yourself now. With the love and support of others we can reach beyond
our fear and realize our vision much more quickly.
"Money cannot buy piece of mind. It cannot heal ruptured relationships,
or build meaning into a life that has none."
- Richard M. Devos
If I asked you to think of how secure you feel in your life right
now, what would you think of first? If you're like most people,
you'd probably equate the amount of investments you currently have
and wonder whether or not you'll have enough saved to take care
of yourself and your family when you retire.
The key to creating true security has to do with more than the
balance in your savings account. It has to do with the balances
in all the accounts in your life.
True security comes from having a reserve in all areas of your
life - community, love, self-esteem, a connection to God, and good
health, in addition to financial reserves.
Until you invest in these other areas, you'll always feel insecure
regardless of how much money you have.
Ask yourself the following:
1. Do I have a reserve of friends and family by whom I feel loved
and supported?
2. Do I have a reserve of confidence and self-esteem?
3. Do I have a reserve of faith and a strong connection with God?
4. Do I have a reserve of physical energy?
5. Do I have a reserve of colleagues who challenge and inspire me
to be my best?
